A total of 79,404 candidates have accepted seats allotted in the first round of undergraduate admissions at Delhi University.
The university issued 93,033 allotments on Thursday across 221 programmes in 67 colleges. This exceeds the roughly 71,600 available seats to account for expected withdrawals.
Admissions are managed through the Common Seat Allocation System. Out of 2,18,284 registered candidates, 2,08,043 completed the preference-filling process.
So far, 10,746 candidates have paid the admission fee and colleges have approved 26,061 for payment. Approved candidates must pay by July 21. The second allocation list is scheduled for July 25 with payment due by July 28. The academic session begins on July 28.
