In the RTL show »Let's Dance«, musician Ross Antony suffered a bleeding injury mid-dance. His partner Mariia Maksina accidentally hit him with her elbow above his right eye. Despite the blood, he continued dancing and received 24 points from the jury.
Musician Ross Antony, 51, a former member of the band Bro'Sis, performed a rumba to Michael Jackson's »Human Nature« on the RTL show »Let's Dance«. During a turn, his dance partner Mariia Maksina accidentally struck him with her elbow above his right eye, causing blood to flow over his face.
Antony appeared irritated but danced to the end, earning respect in the studio. »I am so proud of you, I am really sorry«, said Maksina, visibly upset. Antony reassured her: »It's not bad at all, really.« He also addressed the camera: »Mama, I am okay!«
The jury responded with respect and humor. Jorge González joked: »You see, that's why I have no wife at home.« Motsi Mabuse praised: »How often do we say on »Let's Dance«: We want blood, sweat, and tears on the dance floor. You gave us that. Absolutely everything.« Joachim Llambi judged: »The accents were good, the rhythm was good, the timing was good. You danced beautifully together.«
The pair received 24 points for the rumba. Antony asked host Daniel Hartwich: »Do I look ugly now?« He replied: »You look wonderful, wonderfully beautiful.«
