Roya Media Group has finished production on its new comedy-drama series "Quban Mousa," slated for Ramadan 2026 on Roya TV. The show explores themes of identity and tradition through humorous village life. It underscores Roya's focus on blending entertainment with social commentary.
Roya Media Group announced the completion of filming for "Quban Mousa," a comedy-drama series designed for Roya TV's Ramadan 2026 lineup. This project highlights the network's dedication to creating content that mixes fun with relevant social messages, continuing its tradition in Ramadan programming.
The production involved key partners: The Creative Lab oversaw creative and production aspects, while Al-Shubbak Foundation and The Show Services, a Roya Media Group entity, managed execution using advanced technical standards.
The story is set in a peaceful village, where the protagonist Mousa inherits his late father's shop, nicknamed "the Quban." He faces off against a rich investor aiming to convert the old space into a sleek commercial venture. This setup captures the clash between holding onto heritage and embracing modern developments, delivered through situational comedy and a chain of funny mix-ups.
Deeper layers address identity, family ties, and belonging, aiming to connect with diverse viewers. Directed by Zaid Bawab, the cast includes Mohammad Al-Ajarmeh as Mousa, Noha Samarah as his mother, Rabi’ Zaitoun as Nader Bey, plus Abdullah Abu Matar, Sarah Abu Zahra, and Abdullah Al-Shawabkeh.
Eng. Fares Sayegh, CEO of Roya Media Group, commented: “Quban Mousa represents the type of drama we aim to deliver at Roya Comedy with depth and a strong human dimension. The series addresses issues of identity, family, and the balance between tradition and change in a simple yet impactful way. We are confident it will achieve strong audience engagement during the Ramadan 2026 season.”
This series bolsters Roya's role in regional Ramadan content, emphasizing quality narratives rooted in cultural truths to draw wide appeal in Jordan and beyond.
