The PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars is set to feature robust competition in its young horse classes. The 4CYTE Four-Year-Old class has 40 entries from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia. In the Mulawa Performance Horses Five-Year-Old class, 21 combinations are entered, including last year’s top performers: Daisy Fielding and Remi Victoria’s Secret, who scored 80.5%; Riley Alexander and Glenhill Quatessence at 80.4%; and Heather Currie and MW Boom at 80.2%.
The Leader Equine Six-Year-Old class includes 12 riders, with 10 having Grand Prix experience. Lizzie Wilson-Fellows and Hollands Bend Secrets Out earned 76.200% at EBM Willinga Park Dressage by the Sea, while Riley Alexander and Glenhill Totil Star have succeeded in New South Wales events. The Sabble Farm Seven-Year-Old class, though smaller, highlights Jessica Dertell and Osaka P, who remain undefeated this season, alongside riders like Rodney Martin on Emillio and Mary Warren on Mindarah Park Rupert.
At the Pauline Carnovale CDI3* Grand Prix, 16 combinations compete, with Jayden Brown and Quincy B posting three scores over 70% at Willinga, including the highest Grand Prix Special on Australian soil. Emma Flavelle-Watts and Scarlatti Mio VSR achieved personal bests and 70%-plus scores in all tests there, marking their fourth CDI. Mary Hanna and Ivanhoe I, qualified for Aachen 2026, add depth.
The Southern Cross Event Hire CDN Intermediate II features young stallions like Dante Quando OLD ridden by Charlie Welsh and Fidibus by Alexis Hellyer, plus debuts such as David McKinnon on Lea Rian and Robbie McKinnon on SPH Fortino, the 2023 Champion of Champions. The Audrey Riordan Prix St Georges Cup has 20 entrants, including Robbie McKinnon and QS Sierra, Jayden Brown and Leopold, and Grand Prix horses like Fonzie II with Olivia Gillespie.
This year, the Aachen Challenge is absent, but CDI Junior, Pony, and Children’s classes proceed. The event promises a showcase for dressage enthusiasts.
