Tanner Kero joins Krefeld Pinguine from Kölner Haie

Former HV71 forward Tanner Kero has signed with Krefeld Pinguine in the German DEL league. The move comes after one season with Kölner Haie. Kero brings extensive experience from the NHL and SHL.

The 33-year-old American leaves Kölner Haie after recording 29 points in 41 games during the past season. He previously played for HV71 in the SHL during 2024/25, where he tallied 22 points over 52 matches.

Krefeld Pinguine announced the signing on its website. Coach Thomas Popiesch highlighted Kero's versatility and skating strength as key assets for the team's offense.

Kero has appeared in more than 100 NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken, along with several seasons in the AHL. Krefeld returns to the top-tier DEL for the upcoming campaign.
