The PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, hosted by the University of Louisville at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, drew top college track and field programs for a two-day competition ending January 31, 2026. Teams from across the region competed in various events, showcasing personal bests and strong individual efforts.
Youngstown State University's Brandon Hutchinson led the highlights with a heptathlon score of 5,088 points, becoming only the second Penguin in program history to surpass 5,000 points. This mark eclipsed his previous best of 4,766 points. Hutchinson set personal records in the high jump at 1.88 meters, the 60-meter dash in 7.01 seconds, and the long jump at 7.25 meters. The previous YSU athlete to reach this threshold was Tim Holzapfel at the 2017 Horizon League Championships. Texas A&M's track and field team dominated by sweeping event titles at the meet, capping a strong road weekend that also included performances at the John Thomas Terrier Classic.
Lindenwood University athletes recorded multiple personal records and season bests, competing alongside elite programs. Southeast Missouri State wrapped up with 12 season-best marks from performers including Madelyn Gray and Quinton Maxwell. SIUE completed day two of the invitational alongside the Dr. Rick McGuire event, with contributions from athletes like Caden Belcher and Kaylee Allen.
These results underscore the competitive depth of collegiate track and field early in the season.
