Train traffic between Hyllie and Kastrup stopped at 16:55 due to a downed contact line. Replacement buses were deployed but the wait was long for over 1,000 travellers.
The stop occurred during rush hour on the evening of Wednesday, June 17. Trafikverket announced shortly after 20:00 that trains would begin running on a limited basis.
Karin Philipsson, who was waiting at Kastrup, said she had stood there for an hour and a half and that only four buses had departed. She criticised the lack of information and staff from Skånetrafiken or Öresundstågen.
The first train to Skåne arrived at Kastrup at 22:40. Replacement buses continued across the Öresund until 23:00 even though they were scheduled to end at 22:00. The power fault on the Danish side remained with no prognosis for normal service.
