Poncle has revealed that its hit game Vampire Survivors will be renamed Vampire Survivors - First Survivaton. The studio also announced a free expansion and a new umbrella label for similar projects called Survivaton.
The changes were announced during Summer Game Fest week. Poncle explained that Survivaton, short for survive a ton, will cover future survivors-like games developed internally or with partners. Vampire Survivors will serve as the foundation under the new name. The studio shadow-dropped update 1.15 on Steam, which adds new content and will reach other platforms by the end of June. Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Bloodmoon Expansion is scheduled for this summer. It will include 10 new characters, 16 new weapons and evolutions, a new XL stage, and eight music tracks. The expansion targets PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile later in the year. Poncle has grown its teams in Italy and Japan, where Sawaki Takeyasu oversees local development.
