Many Filipinos, mostly women, continue to marry foreign nationals, averaging around 70,000 migrant unions annually, according to the Commission on Filipinos Overseas. CFO Chairman Dante Ang noted that while numbers dipped from 2023 to 2024, they are set to rebound this year. Americans remain the most common foreign spouses, followed by Japanese nationals.
