The Chamber of Deputies approved the Federal Expenditures Budget 2026 in general with 358 votes in favor and 133 against, without changes to the original initiative. The nearly seven-hour debate was marked by protests and accusations over the assassination of Uruapan's mayor, Carlos Manzo. The Income Law had already been approved last week and sent to the Senate.
