Moja Extravaganza

Cape Town will host the Moja Chess Extravaganza 2026, one of Africa's largest international chess events, from April 25 to 30 at the Bellville Velodrome. The six-day tournament expects around 1,000 players from South Africa and abroad, including Grandmasters and International Masters. Organizers aim to provide accessible elite competition while promoting inclusivity and African chess development.
