Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has stated that the network is on the cusp of a major upgrade phase as PeerDAS becomes operational on the mainnet and zkEVMs advance toward production. These developments aim to resolve the blockchain trilemma by balancing decentralization, consensus, and higher bandwidth.
