Teruel

The animal protection group ARDE has filed a complaint with the Teruel Provincial Prosecutor's Office against a pig farm in Castellote for alleged crimes of animal mistreatment, public health risks and misleading advertising. Footage recorded by ARDE depicts pigs wounded from cannibalism, dying without proper care and cadavers in contact with live animals. An associated company has received nearly two million euros in subsidies.
