The National Testing Agency released combined results for JEE Main 2026 on Monday, with 26 out of 2.34 million aspirants securing a perfect 100 NTA score. This marks an increase from 24 last year. A total of 250,182 candidates qualified across categories for JEE Advanced.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared combined results for JEE Main 2026 sessions 1 and 2 on April 21. Out of 2,338,983 total aspirants, 1,304,653 appeared in Session 1 (January 21-29) and 1,034,330 in Session 2 (April 2-8), with 800,516 taking both. All 12 perfect scorers from Session 1 featured in the combined list of 26.

Among the 26 with perfect 100 NTA scores, five each hailed from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, four from Rajasthan, three each from Delhi and Haryana, and two from Maharashtra. One each came from Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Chandigarh. A senior NTA official said, "For those candidates who appeared in both the Sessions of the JEE (Main), their better score from the two sessions has been declared. There are 26 combined toppers from all the 19 shifts of Session 1 and Session 2 of JEE Main 2026."

Results are based on percentile scores after normalisation. Results of 57 candidates were withheld for unfair means or identity discrepancies. The qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced rose slightly for all categories, with unreserved at 93.4 from 93.1 last year.

Delhi's Shreyas Mishra scored perfectly in both sessions. He told reporters, "In my mock papers, my scores ranged between 260 and 280 out of 300... to ensure it wasn’t a fluke, I reappeared for the test in April." Chandigarh's Aarush Singhal, at All India Rank 8, credited quitting his phone for his success.

Cosa dice la gente
