Adidas to release limited 3D-printed basketball shoe

Adidas Basketball will launch its first 3D-printed performance sneaker in an ultra-limited run of 169 pairs worldwide.

The BB.01 model uses the brand's new Project: R.A.P. additive manufacturing platform. It features a fully integrated 3D-printed lattice structure designed to adapt to athletes' movements on the court.

Next-generation athlete Mikel Brown Jr. is scheduled to debut the shoe during his first NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas. The release begins July 10 at the Adidas Las Vegas flagship store with 50 pairs allocated there.

An additional 89 pairs will go on sale July 14 through the Adidas CONFIRMED app. The remaining 30 pairs are reserved for Greater China.
