Advanced media regulatory and administration system technology launched

Ethiopia's Media Mass Communications Authority has launched an advanced digital media regulatory and administration system in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Institute. The system targets false information and illegal publications through real-time digital tracking, conducted only with official authorization.

Dr. Werqu Gachena, director of the Artificial Intelligence Institute, described the May 23, 2018 (E.C.) launch as a milestone in Ethiopia's digital transformation.

Officials hailed the initiative as opening a new chapter for media regulation in the digital age.
