In Addis Ababa, on Katit 13, 2018 (Fana Broadcasting), Ato Haylu Adunya, head of the Oromia Regional Communication Bureau, stated that the Adwa victory is a symbol of Ethiopian unity, pride, and indivisibility.

Ato Haylu Adunya said this victory broke the yoke of colonialism, opening a new chapter of equality for peoples. He noted that Ethiopia's forefathers defended its independence and legality through their martyrdom at Adwa.

He also highlighted that Ethiopia serves as an example of freedom for the broader black population, emphasizing that the Adwa fighters formed the first barrier against the defeated war aggressors.

These remarks were made during the 49th Gumay Belay Network program, themed “Adwa: The Collective Victory of the Nation's Pride.” The event was attended by high-level government officials and experts from the Oromia region.
