AEG showcases Forage and Honeypot board games at GAMA Expo 2026

At the GAMA Expo 2026, AEG presented two new board games from Flatout Games: Forage and Honeypot. Both titles are currently live on Kickstarter, where they have garnered significant backing. The games are scheduled for retail release in September 2026.

The GAMA Expo 2026 served as a platform for AEG to highlight upcoming titles from Flatout Games, including the roll-and-write game Forage and another offering called Honeypot. Forage, designed by Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, and Shawn Stankewich, features illustrations by Beth Sobel. In the game, players collect plants, berries, and mushrooms while foraging in the Pacific Northwest. They draw from a dynamic tableau of cards to acquire ingredients, build knowledge, and develop recipes.

Forage accommodates one to six players aged 10 and older, with sessions lasting 15 to 30 minutes. Together with Honeypot, the games have raised $114,484 on Kickstarter from 3,509 backers, averaging about $33 per supporter. This crowdfunding success underscores interest in Flatout Games' designs, which previously included Cascadia, a winner of the Spiel des Jahres award.

AEG's booth at the expo provided an early look at these titles, positioning them for a retail debut in September 2026. The event highlighted the ongoing innovation in board gaming, with Flatout Games continuing to blend accessible mechanics and thematic depth.
