New images reveal ongoing site work at the future Cars-themed area in Magic Kingdom. Sand filling and concrete walls mark the latest phase of development.
Utility work continues across the former Rivers of America site. Sand is being added to fill spaces between retaining walls and walkways near Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Concrete walls are taking shape near the old riverboat dock. A conveyor system moves additional sand into place while a cleared area near Haunted Mansion shows early erosion-control planting.
The photos also capture separate construction activity for the Villains land expansion. No opening date for Piston Peak has been announced.
