Amazon drops price of Pokemon TCG Mega Charizard collection to $140

Amazon has reduced the price of the Pokemon Trading Card Game's Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection to $140, down from an original $250. The collection launched on November 14 alongside the Mega Evolution - Phantasmal Flames expansion and includes promo cards, booster packs, and accessories. Other products like the new Mega Venusaur ex Premium Collection are also restocked at discounted prices.

The Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection initially restocked at Amazon for $165 before the latest price drop to $140. It had reached $211 on launch day, November 14, coinciding with the release of the Pokemon TCG's Mega Evolution - Phantasmal Flames expansion set. This large set contains one foil promo card of Mega Charizard X ex, one foil promo card of Oricorio ex, 18 booster packs from expansions including Phantasmal Flames, Mega Evolution, Destined Rivals, and Journey Together, a playmat featuring Mega Charizard X artwork, a metal coin, six damage-counter dice, and a Pokemon TCG Live code card.

In addition to the Charizard collection, Amazon has restocked the recently released Mega Venusaur ex Premium Collection for $74.89. This product, which became available earlier in December, includes eight booster packs, one foil promo card of Mega Venusaur ex, one lenticular promo card of Mega Venusaur, and a Venusaur tech sticker. The Lugia ex & Latias ex Premium Collection is back in stock at $100.

Amazon has also listed new Pokemon TCG items, such as the Holiday 2025 Poke Ball Tins for $30 each. These tins come in one of five random Poke Ball types and contain three booster packs and two sticker sheets. Other recent additions include the Fall 2025 Collector Chest, Mega Kangaskhan ex Box, and Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex League Battle Deck.

Pokemon TCG stock at Amazon varies frequently, with several Phantasmal Flames products available, including the Booster Box for $220 and the Elite Trainer Box for $106.89. The Holiday Calendar 2025 is in stock for $90, and the Trick or Trade Booster Bundle is discounted to $29 from $35.
