Archspire announces 2026 North American tour and new album

Extreme metal band Archspire has revealed plans for their Long Roads Big Loads North American Tour in spring and summer 2026, supporting the upcoming album 'Too Fast to Die'. The tour features special guests Undeath, Crown Magnetar, and Mutilation Barbecue, kicking off in Calgary and wrapping up in Vancouver. This follows the success of their recent single 'Carrion Ladder' and marks their first fully independent release.

Archspire, known for pushing the boundaries of extreme metal since 2009, continues to innovate with their fifth album, 'Too Fast to Die', set for release on April 10, 2026. The band, often called the world's fastest, blends blistering speed with memorable hooks and virtuosic elements, including rapid drumming and rap-flow vocals.

In 2025, Archspire welcomed new drummer Spencer Moore, whose influence is evident in the lead single 'Carrion Ladder'. 'I had to step my game up fast to pull off the new material,' Spencer Moore said. 'But once we started tracking, everything felt comfortable and natural.' The album was recorded that year in Denver with producer Dave Otero, marking their third collaboration. It succeeds their Juno Award-winning 'Bleed the Future'.

Opting for independence, the band crowdfunded the project, raising nearly $400,000 CAD in 30 days—surpassing their goal in under 24 hours. Guitarist Dean Lamb recalled the tension: 'I was actually shaking when I pressed launch. We'd never taken on something this big, and all I could think was, "man, I hope we don't mess this up".'

Vocalist Oliver Rae Aleron described their live energy: 'We're like a bit of meth in your cigarette. I think people don't quite know how to describe what they're hearing.'

The tour begins April 24 at The Palace Theatre in Calgary, AB, and includes stops in Edmonton, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and more, ending June 6 at Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC. Full dates:
