Avianca expands business class to all domestic routes in Colombia

Avianca has announced the extension of its Business Class Américas experience to all domestic routes in Colombia, raising the standard for short-haul flights. This move is paired with enhancements to ground services at El Dorado airport, including a new private check-in and renovated VIP lounges. The aim is to provide local passengers with comfort and personalized attention from the start of their journey.

Colombian airline Avianca recently unveiled its plan to overhaul domestic flights by making the Business Class Américas cabin available on all routes within the country. This premium product, positioned in the first three rows of aircraft, features custom-designed seats, an exclusive bathroom, dedicated hand luggage space, and priority check-in and boarding processes.

Onboard, passengers access snacks and drinks including coffee, teas, sodas, and beer, along with the Avianca On Air entertainment system providing free HBO Max and F1 TV content. The fleet will progressively add Wi-Fi, offering special perks for business class travelers.

On the ground, the journey begins at El Dorado airport with the new Insignia by avianca Check-in, a private area for Insignia, Concierge, and Diamond passengers, featuring a quiet setting, warm lighting, and dedicated personalized service. The Diamond VIP lounges have also been upgraded: the domestic one includes art, gastronomy, rest zones, a library, sensory ambiance, and a refreshed sports bar; the international lounge focuses on productivity and relaxation with soundproof cabins, showers, a spa area, live kitchen, and an all-day bar.

These lounges are part of Avianca's global network of eleven facilities, aiming for a seamless premium experience. The company highlights how this expansion redefines domestic travel as comfortable and efficient. Route-specific availability details are found in the Avianca experience section on avianca.com.

The announcement, held at El Dorado, underscores Avianca's commitment to standing out in the national air market by meeting demands for quality services on short routes.
