Bandai Namco reveals PC system requirements for Code Vein 2

Bandai Namco has announced the PC system requirements for Code Vein 2, the upcoming sequel to its 2019 action RPG. The game, set for release on January 30, 2026, demands more powerful hardware than its predecessor, including a minimum of 16 GB RAM and Windows 11. Pre-orders are now available on Steam with various editions offering additional content.

Code Vein 2 builds on the original game's "anime Dark Souls" style, introducing a narrative focused on time manipulation, expanded environments, and an enhanced partner system. First revealed at Summer Game Fest 2025, the title requires modern hardware to achieve smooth performance, even at basic settings.

The minimum specifications include Windows 11 as the operating system, an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super, AMD Radeon RX 5700, or Intel Arc B570 graphics card. It also needs DirectX 12 and 70 GB of storage space, with performance targeted at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second on low settings. Bandai Namco recommends an SSD for optimal play and notes that the game requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.

For a recommended setup aiming for 1080p at 60 frames per second on high settings, players should use an Intel Core i7-12700KF or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor paired with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics card. This setup also benefits from an SSD.

Pre-orders on Steam come in Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, and Collector's Editions. All editions include a face paint item and a weapon. The Deluxe Edition adds three-day early access, a custom outfit pack with three costume sets and a weapon, and the upcoming DLC Mask of Idris. The Ultimate Edition includes everything from Deluxe plus a digital mini artbook, soundtrack, and a character costume set with six outfits. The Collector's Edition bundles all Ultimate content with an 18 cm figure, a 60-page artbook, and a metal case.

These requirements reflect a shift in recent releases, excluding support for Windows 10 and emphasizing upgraded components for better visuals and gameplay.
