Birla Corporation posts 15% rise in quarterly profit

Birla Corporation reported a 15% year-on-year increase in net profit for the March-ended quarter. Revenue rose modestly while the company announced a dividend payout.

Birla Corporation achieved consolidated net profit of Rs 295 crore in the quarter ending March. This marked a 15% gain compared with the same period a year earlier. Revenue edged up 0.8% to Rs 2,836 crore during the three months.
