Björklöven seeks final roster additions amid SHL competition

Björklöven sportchef Per Kenttä says the club still needs one defenseman and one forward to complete its SHL roster. The team has already added Tarmo Reunanen and Phil Di Giuseppe this summer.

Kenttä noted that many available players remain unsigned for a reason. He pointed to intense competition from clubs including Färjestad, Rögle, Brynäs, Djurgården and Frölunda.

Björklöven's player budget stands at nearly 60 million kronor, well above the roughly 20 million kronor figure from its promotion season. Kenttä stressed that the full amount covers more than salaries alone.

As a newcomer, the club expects to finish last in the signing order each year. Kenttä hopes to reach a more stable position next season once the team secures its place in the standings.

The long-term goal remains establishing Björklöven in the SHL without apology, supported by the city's sponsors and plans to upgrade the arena.
