Persib Bandung's head coach Bojan Hodak was absent from the team's training session ahead of the postponed Super League 2025/26 match against Borneo FC due to health issues. The session was led by assistant coach Igor Tolic and other staff. The team focused on physical recovery after a long trip from Madura.
Persib Bandung is preparing for the postponed Week 4 Super League 2025/26 match against Borneo FC, scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, at 19:00 WIB at Stadion Gelora Bandung Lautan Api. However, an unusual situation arose when head coach Bojan Hodak was unable to attend due to his health condition not permitting it.
The training session took place after players received a one-day rest following a 12-hour journey from the away match against Madura United on Sunday, November 30, 2025. This light session focused on fitness recovery, aided by physiotherapy and fitness coaches. Several players, including Marc Klok, Eliano Reijnders, Adam Alis, and Andrew Jung, trained separately to adjust their conditions.
Assistant coach Igor Tolic led the session alongside Miro Petric, Yaya Sunarya, goalkeeping coach Mario Jozic, and assistant I Made Wirawan. "We just returned last night after a 12-hour trip. Today is just rest and a bit of recovery to check on the players' conditions. So, most of our work is done by physiotherapy and fitness coaches," Tolic said after the session.
While physical recovery is ongoing, Tolic assessed the players' mental state as very good, boosted by the 4-1 victory over Madura United. This win serves as strong momentum following a prior 2-3 loss to Lion City Sailors in the AFC Champions League Two. "The players are very professional and know what to do. They also know they can't disappoint themselves or the Bobotoh. So, they always go 100% into training sessions and matches," Tolic added.
Persib approaches the clash with Borneo FC optimistically, noting that Borneo is also competing at the top of the table. This match has the potential to alter the league standings.
