Bridgerton season 4 to center on Benedict's love story

Netflix's Bridgerton will return for its fourth season in 2026, focusing on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton and his love interest Sophie Baek. The season will release in two parts, with new cast members joining the ensemble. Production teasers highlight key moments from the story inspired by Julia Quinn's novel.

Bridgerton season 4 will adapt the third book in Julia Quinn's series, An Offer from a Gentleman, centering on Luke Thompson's Benedict Bridgerton and his encounter with a mysterious "Lady in Silver" at a masquerade ball. The season consists of eight episodes, split into two installments: part 1 premieres on January 29, 2026, and part 2 arrives on February 26, 2026. This rollout mirrors the structure of season 3, which starred Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan.

Casting announcements began in August 2024, with Yerin Ha announced as Sophie Baek, a name change from the book's Sophie Beckett to honor the actress's Korean heritage. Additional new characters include Katie Leung as Sophie's stepmother Lady Araminta Gun, and Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei as her stepsisters Rosamund Li and Posy Li. Emma Naomi's Alice Mondrich and Hugh Sachs's Brimsley have been promoted to series regulars.

Returning cast members include Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton as Colin and Penelope, confirmed as regulars. Jonathan Bailey's Anthony Bridgerton is also a series regular, while Simone Ashley's Kate Sharma is listed as additional key cast, appearing less frequently. Hannah Dodd, Sam Phillips, and Llewyn MacFarlane continue as Francesca and her love interests as regulars.

Teasers released on Valentine's Day 2025 showed Benedict and Sophie brushing hands in a Cinderella-like moment, and a May 2025 Netflix Upfronts clip featured the masquerade ball scene with Sophie gazing at a chandelier. Showrunner Jess Brownell teased at the season 4 premiere that Eloise's and Francesca's stories are next for seasons 5 and 6, which were renewed in May 2025, though the order remains undecided.

Other series regulars include Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown, Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton, Claudia Jessie as Eloise, Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, and Polly Walker as Portia Featherington.
