Cameron Diaz and Stephen Merchant film scenes for untitled rom-com in NYC

Cameron Diaz and Stephen Merchant filmed scenes for their upcoming untitled romantic comedy near the Hudson River in New York City on March 19. The co-stars shot a walk-and-talk sequence in chic outfits before changing looks for additional takes.

Cameron Diaz, 53, and Stephen Merchant, 51, were spotted filming in New York City on March 19 for the untitled rom-com produced by Amazon MGM Studios. This follows recent casting announcements that added actors including Fabrizio Guido, Lisa Gilroy, Myra Lucretia Taylor, and Dustin Ybarra to the ensemble alongside Josh Segarra and Sherry Cola.

The duo first filmed a walk-and-talk scene, with Diaz in a gray wool coat over a blush blouse and jeans, paired with Merchant in a navy jacket, blue plaid button-down, and tan pants. They later switched outfits: Diaz to a black leather trench coat and blue scarf, Merchant to a tan coat.

As previously reported, the plot centers on a workaholic British hotel worker (Merchant) who enters a fake marriage with a struggling stand-up comic (Diaz) for appearances and health insurance, which blossoms into romance. Merchant is directing and co-wrote the script with John Butler.

Diaz's next project is Apple TV+'s Outcome with Jonah Hill, Keanu Reeves, and Matt Bomer.
