Ci Games paid youtuber to promote armor in lords of the fallen 2

CI Games sponsored a YouTuber known as TheBackgroundNPC to showcase new female armor designs for the upcoming Lords of the Fallen 2. The 20-minute video promotes revealing outfits described by the studio as fierce and provocative. The company later stated that modest options will also be available in the game.

The sponsored video features the YouTuber praising the armor sets while criticizing designs of characters from other titles, including Abby from The Last of Us Part II. CI Games revealed the collection exclusively through this paid promotion and posted on X that players wanted beautiful and provocative options. The move comes as the studio works on the dark fantasy sequel to the 2014 original game. Less than a day later, CI Games followed up by assuring fans that modest outfits would also appear in the title. The announcement sparked discussion online, with some posts noting the designs fell into what was called an unhorny valley. TheBackgroundNPC described the studio's approach as involving players directly in the design process through feedback. The video was released ahead of the game's launch window, which remains unconfirmed.
