Colombia to compete in Giro d'Italia 2026 with Bernal, Buitrago and Rubio

Three elite Colombian cyclists, Egan Bernal, Santiago Buitrago and Einer Rubio, will represent the country in the 2026 Giro d'Italia. The race starts on May 8 and runs until May 31. Their combined value reaches US$5.4 million.

The 2026 Giro d'Italia, the world's third most important grand tour, will feature a strong Colombian delegation. Egan Bernal of Ineos Netcompany, Santiago Buitrago of Bahrain Victorious and Einer Rubio of Movistar Team make up the national trio.

Egan Bernal, from Zipaquirá and valued at US$2.7 million, is the 2021 Giro champion. His experience in grand tours and leadership position him as a key figure, as reported by La República.
