Colorado man sentenced to over 200 years for professor murder

Ceasar Wilson received a sentence exceeding 200 years in prison this week for the 2024 stabbing death of University of Colorado Colorado Springs professor Haleh Abghari.

Ceasar Wilson, 54, was sentenced Wednesday after a jury convicted him in February of second-degree murder and related charges. Prosecutors said Wilson entered Abghari's Colorado Springs home through an open garage on August 7, 2024, and attacked her in the bathroom, stabbing the 54-year-old five times during a struggle that left a fatal wound to her chest. Evidence included a bloody palm print and DNA under the victim's fingernails.
