Corey Feldman is out of the hospital and recovering after a mid-flight health scare that turned out to be food poisoning. The former child star had been traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles when symptoms hit.
The 54-year-old started feeling unwell on a Monday flight from Chicago, where he had just wrapped a speaking tour stop for the 40th anniversary of Stand by Me alongside Jerry O'Connell and Wil Wheaton. Paramedics met him at LAX and rushed him to a local hospital.
Initial reports flagged possible pancreatitis or gallstones, but his spokesperson later confirmed it was food poisoning. “Corey is doing much better and is now out of the hospital,” the rep told outlets on June 17.
Feldman has been thanking fans for the outpouring of support. He also shared Instagram snaps from a quick detour to the Jackson family home in Gary, Indiana, during the Chicago trip.
