Die fantastischen vier announce farewell tour

The legendary hip-hop band Die Fantastischen Vier has announced its final major tour. Titled »Der letzte Bus«, Smudo, Michi Beck, Thomas D, and And.Ypsilon will perform concerts in several cities over the next 18 months. This marks a farewell to joint tours, while future individual shows or recordings remain open.

After more than 30 years on stage, Die Fantastischen Vier announced their farewell tour »Der letzte Bus«. The band, consisting of Smudo, Michi Beck, Thomas D, and And.Ypsilon, plans to perform concerts in several locations over the next 18 months. Singer Michi Beck told the news agency dpa in Stuttgart: »Natürlich fühlt es sich merkwürdig mulmig an, zu wissen, dass das die letzte Reise dieser Art sein wird.« He emphasized, however, that it is primarily a farewell to joint tours. Whether the group will give individual concerts later or record new music remains open. Beck added: »Wann wir unser definitiv letztes Konzert spielen werden, steht noch in den Sternen.«

Die Fantastischen Vier are pioneers of German hip-hop. The native Stuttgart artists have sold over eight million records, released eleven studio albums, and given more than 1000 concerts. Last year, they released their eleventh album »Long Player«. Tickets for the tour are available from November 12 via the band's Instagram page. The exact cities have not yet been revealed.

This announcement marks the end of an era for a band that has significantly shaped German hip-hop. Fans can look forward to one last joint journey, while the group's future remains uncertain.
