Disney world changes three planning traditions for 2027

Disney World is adjusting several long-standing vacation planning options ahead of 2027. Guests staying at Fort Wilderness campsites will lose a free water park entry perk. A new land at Animal Kingdom and an updated dining plan will also alter how visitors schedule their trips.

Disney has confirmed that the free water park entry perk for resort guests will return in summer 2027 but will exclude the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The announcement states that the benefit applies to eligible resort hotels while specifically noting the exclusion for campsites. Other Disney World hotels will continue to offer free admission to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon on arrival day during the perk period.
