Doosan Group is expected to post strong growth as its key businesses align with the core supply chain of the artificial intelligence industry. Its electro-materials and power units benefit from expanding data center demand.
Doosan is projected to report second-quarter sales of 5.5 trillion won and operating profit of 465 billion won, according to brokerage consensus. This marks year-on-year increases of 3 percent and 30 percent.
In the first quarter the electro-materials unit recorded sales of 617.3 billion won, up 53.2 percent, with operating profit rising 59.9 percent to 185.6 billion won. The company plans to invest 180 billion won to build a new CCL plant in Thailand's Araya Industrial Park.
Doosan Enerbility secured orders for 10 gas turbines for data centers, including five 380-megawatt units for Elon Musk's xAI. Analysts expect cumulative orders to exceed 100 turbines by 2034.
