Drunk driver charged after fatal Minnesota motorcycle crash

A 63-year-old man faces vehicular homicide charges after police say he crashed into a motorcyclist while driving drunk in Minnesota. The victim, 31-year-old Dana Lucker-Milan, died from her injuries.

Robert Marines Rodriguez was arrested following the June 10 crash near Highway 61 and Highway 96 in White Bear Lake. Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. after reports of the collision between his Jeep and Lucker-Milan's motorcycle.

Rodriguez told police he had a blinking yellow arrow and did not see the motorcycle. Tests showed he had a blood alcohol level of 0.27, smelled of alcohol, and admitted drinking a Bloody Mary and a shot of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky. He has a prior DWI conviction from 2021.

Lucker-Milan was taken to a hospital but died en route. Her funeral is scheduled for June 21. A celebration of her life and motorcycle ride in her memory took place on Sunday.

Rodriguez remains in custody at the Ramsey County Jail. His next court date has not been set.
