Indie band Dutch Interior has unveiled their new single 'Go Fuck Yourself' from the upcoming EP It's Glass, set for release this Friday on Fat Possum Records. The track is accompanied by a live session video, the first in a series tied to the EP's songs. The band describes the single as addressing aspects of Los Angeles they dislike.
Dutch Interior announced their new single 'Go Fuck Yourself' on March 3, 2026, as a preview of their EP It's Glass, scheduled for release on Friday, March 6, via Fat Possum. This marks the band's first project recorded in a professional studio, Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco, after previous efforts like their LP Moneyball were made in self-built spaces such as their Long Beach studio.
The EP's production benefited from access to new equipment, including an organ and grand piano, which expanded the band's sound while retaining its homespun feel. As the band explained, "A lot of music recycles the same chords and melodic tendencies. It’s the emotion poured into these songs and the environment from which they are captured which makes them sound unique." They describe the tracks as "weird little songs," emphasizing personal connections and spontaneous studio moments in their songwriting process.
Hyde Street Studios, known for sessions with artists like Neil Young, the Grateful Dead, and Willie Nelson, provided a professional setting that influenced the EP's five tracks: 1. Ground Scores, 2. Go Fuck Yourself, 3. Say Anything, 4. Play the Song, and 5. I Have No Clue.
Complementing the single, Dutch Interior shared a live session video for 'Go Fuck Yourself,' directed, edited, and recorded by the band itself, filmed by Bobby Anaya, and mastered by Dainya Stevens. This is the initial entry in a series of five live videos, recorded on a four-track tape machine in and around Los Angeles in the weeks before the EP's release. The band noted about the single: "There’s a lot I love about LA and there’s a lot I hate about it. This song addresses the latter."
Further sessions for the remaining tracks are planned for release the week after the EP drops. Pre-orders for It's Glass are available now.
