Following fan complaints about his initial $200 'Ride the Serpent' single, former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent has announced new limited-edition CD singles priced at $500 each (plus $25 shipping). These previews for his long-awaited Judgment Day Guitarmageddon album are part of the 'MASTER SERIES GUITAR POWER DRIVE BALLADS' and aim to deter piracy through premium pricing.
Vincent addressed backlash over the December 2025 'Ride the Serpent' release by unveiling additional singles in limited runs of 50 units each, available to U.S. and international buyers once $500 in sales is reached per title.
The lineup includes 'FORBIDDEN' and 'UNCONDITIONAL' (both with Vincent on vocals), a re-recorded 'GYPSY IN HER EYES' with his revised lyrics, and 'BACK ON THE STREETS' from recent sessions. These tracks preview Judgment Day Guitarmageddon, the first full album from the Vinnie Vincent Invasion since the 1996 EP Euphoria—slated for vinyl and CD only, bypassing streaming.
Vincent warned on Facebook that poor fan support could shelve the album entirely: 'If the fan support is not there... this record will not be released. Am I fine with that? Absolutely... It will be the greatest album of all time, never to be heard.' He positioned the high prices as anti-piracy protection for his 'elite quality' music.
Vincent, known for his 'Ankh Warrior' role in Kiss and leading the Vinnie Vincent Invasion since 1984, reemerged publicly at the 2018 Atlanta Kiss Expo after years away.
