An explosion occurred outside a residence in Hovsjö, Södertälje, on Sunday evening, 19 July 2026.
Police were called to the scene at 22:30 following a report of a loud bang. Officers confirmed that something had exploded outside the home.
No one was injured and damage to the property was minimal, according to Per Fahlström, police press spokesperson.
The area was cordoned off during the night. No suspect has been arrested. Police have opened a preliminary investigation into allmänfarlig ödeläggelse and violations of the law on explosive and flammable goods, and plan a technical examination.
