Carolina Cruz, who wrestled in WWE as Emma Diaz, has praised Lola Vice for supporting her during her time in NXT. Cruz spoke about her experiences in a recent interview with The Fan’s View.
Cruz, whose in-ring debut came in October 2023 before her release the following May, highlighted several Performance Center coaches including Fit Finlay, Norman Smiley, Terry Taylor and Robbie Brookside.
She singled out current NXT star Lola Vice, noting their shared Miami background and ethnicity. “I did look up to Lola Vice a lot during my early development because she was someone from Miami, someone with the same ethnicity as me that was moving at such a fast pace and she took me under her wing as well,” Cruz said.
Cruz expressed gratitude for her NXT tenure despite the brevity of her WWE career. She has since competed for AEW, MLW and other promotions, and now primarily appears for Women of Wrestling under the ring name Catalina Speed.
