Fourteen stocks gain over five consecutive sessions

Fourteen stocks from the BSE 500 index advanced in each of the five trading sessions ending May 8, delivering cumulative returns of up to 25 percent. The Sensex rose 0.54 percent or 415 points to close at 77,328 during the period.

The gains came despite the benchmark index finishing higher in only two of the five sessions between May 4 and May 8. In total, 42 stocks from the BSE 500 advanced on each of those days, though only 14 managed gains across the full stretch.
