Hassie Harrison and Thaddeus LaGrone join Fox's Baywatch reboot cast

Building on Stephen Amell's casting as Baywatch captain Hobie Buchannon, Fox has added Yellowstone alum Hassie Harrison as Nat—a former foster kid, Olympic athlete, and Hobie's right hand—and newcomer Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, an ex-Marine learning teamwork as a lifeguard. The series is slated for the 2026-2027 season, with production starting this spring in the Los Angeles area.

The Baywatch reboot, which received a straight-to-series order last September from Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, centers on Hobie (Amell) following in his father Mitch's footsteps, joined by his unknown daughter Charlie Vale (Jessica Belkin). David Chokachi reprises his original role as Cody Madison, who runs The Shoreline bar-and-grill.

LaGrone's Brad, announced March 6, 2026, is a fearless ex-Marine from an elite division who returned to Venice Beach to care for his father. A 'one-man rescue machine,' he must adapt to lifeguarding's collaborative nature. The former football player and musician has upcoming roles in Hulu's The Land and Mr. Irrelevant; he is repped by Brave Artists Management and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.

Harrison was cast as Nat the next day. A brilliant former foster kid and Olympic athlete dubbed the 'gold standard' in lifeguarding, she is fiercely loyal to Hobie but her standards can create tension. Known for Laramie on Yellowstone, she recently starred in Dangerous Animals and is filming The Rescue with Brandon Sklenar. Repped by Gersh, Range Media Partners, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.

Matt Nix is showrunner and EP, with McG directing the premiere. Other EPs: original creators Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, plus Dante Di Loreto and Mike Horowitz. Filming kicks off this spring at Venice Beach and Fox Studio Lot in Century City, backed by a $21 million California tax credit. The original 1989 series was a global phenomenon, peaking at over a billion weekly viewers.

Cosa dice la gente

Initial reactions on X to Hassie Harrison and Thaddeus LaGrone joining Fox's Baywatch reboot are positive, with fans excited about Harrison's transition from Yellowstone and LaGrone's Marine background. Users praise the intriguing character descriptions for Nat and Brad. Official announcements from Deadline and Variety received high engagement, while some comments anticipate swimsuit scenes.
