Voters in Georgia on Tuesday turned back two Democratic-backed candidates for the state Supreme Court. The losses came despite endorsements from former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Incumbent conservative justices Sarah Warren and Charles Bethel won their races. Warren defeated former state Sen. Jen Jordan with nearly 60 percent of the vote. Bethel defeated attorney Miracle Rankin with 51 percent. Both justices were appointed by Republican Gov. Nathan Deal.
