Girlfriend arrested in Georgia reservoir murder

Ambria Boyd, the girlfriend of Jamal Parker whose body was found in a Georgia reservoir, has been arrested on murder and other charges. She is the third person detained in the case.

The remains of Jamal Parker, 37, were discovered on May 15 in Douglas County's Dog River Reservoir. Identification took a month.

On June 16, authorities arrested Brittany Baker, 43, and Mario Barber, 46, charging both with murder. Nearly a month later, on or around July 10, police arrested Boyd, 35.

Boyd is charged with murder, making false statements, and obstructing law enforcement. She allegedly provided police with a false suspect name obtained from an unknown caller and admitted hiding her connection to the actual suspect.

All three suspects remain held without bond at the Douglas County Jail. Police have not released the name of the prime suspect.
