Gracie Abrams has long been a favorite among music enthusiasts, and her recent activities have fueled excitement for fresh material. During her headlining performance at Glastonbury 2025, the singer veered from tracks on her second album, The Secret Of Us, to introduce a so-far unnamed, moody unreleased song. Fans have dubbed it 'Out Of Nowhere' and speculate it draws inspiration from her boyfriend, Paul Mescal, especially given her playful moments at the festival, including dancing on his shoulders and participating in the 'Apple dance' during Charli XCX's set.
Abrams has openly discussed her creative process in interviews. In a late 2024 Nylon conversation, she shared her January 2025 intentions: "chilling" and "writing a lot." She revealed ongoing work on her next project with producer Aaron Dessner at Electric Lady Studios, eyeing a late 2025 release. Abrams expressed admiration for Taylor Swift's output pace, stating, "I am inspired by Taylor [Swift] in a million ways, but especially by the pace with which she puts things out into the world. There’s less pressure the more you release — that’s how I consider it for myself. I want to just keep it coming while I’m in this period of writing as frequently as I am. I think it would be a waste to not be open."
