Disney's Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close from mid-July to October 2026 for a refresh. Brunch service will move to Citricos during this period, with guests possibly noticing refurbishment work nearby.
The Grand Floridian Cafe, a popular spot for breakfast and lunch at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Walt Disney World, faces a temporary closure starting mid-July 2026 and lasting until October 2026. This refurbishment is part of broader updates at the resort, which are set to continue into early 2027. During the closure, brunch will shift to Citricos, another dining option at the property, and daytime guests may hear or see construction activity from the work in progress at the cafe. Recent changes at the Grand Floridian include a lobby refurbishment featuring new furniture and carpet, as well as the addition of The Perch, a birdcage-themed bar. The Grand Floridian Tea Room, shuttered since the 2020 closures, is due to reopen soon after a full refurbishment, complete with a new menu inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Similarly, 1900 Park Fare, a character dining buffet, returned in 2024 following an extended closure period starting in 2020. These efforts highlight ongoing investments in the resort's facilities.
