Heart, George Clinton added to 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame Gala performers

Heart, George Clinton, Lucinda Williams and Take 6 will perform at the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum’s 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame Gala on May 8. The event at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles honors 14 recordings spanning nearly a century and Warner Records. Norah Jones joins the lineup and will receive the Ray Charles Architect of Sound Award.

The gala, hosted by Anthony Mason, adds these performers to previously announced Norah Jones. Clinton, Heart and Williams recorded titles among the inductees, including Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain, Heart’s Dreamboat Annie and Lucinda Williams’ Car Wheels on a Gravel Road from 1998. Other honorees range from Bertha “Chippie” Hill’s 1926 “Trouble in Mind” to 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me, Pink Moon by Nick Drake and works by 2Pac, Selena, Radiohead and Janet Jackson. Warner Records receives a special honor at the event, produced by Ken Ehrlich, Ron Basile, Chantel Sausedo, Lindsay Saunders Carl and Lynne Sheridan. The Grammy Hall of Fame recognizes recordings at least 25 years old for their qualitative or historical significance, selected by a special member committee and ratified by the Recording Academy’s national board of trustees. Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said: “It’s a privilege to recognize these influential recordings as the 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame inductees. Each selection reflects the creativity, craft and cultural impact that recorded music can carry across decades. We’re honored to help preserve these works and celebrate the artists and communities behind them, so their legacies continue to inspire generations to come.”
