An intense rainstorm moved across northern Sweden on Monday, causing minor flooding in Storuman.
The rain arrived during Monday afternoon. In about a quarter of an hour, 30 to 40 millimeters fell, leading to water running over roads.
The municipality took action by clearing grates and drains. Work supervisor Robin Olofsson said that was the measure that could be taken in sudden weather.
SMHI had issued yellow warnings for cloudburst-like rain in Lapland, Jämtland and Ångermanland. Locally, up to 70 millimeters could fall.
