India Ramey releases single and announces Villain Era album

Nashville-based outlaw country artist India Ramey has released her new single “Welcome To My Villain Era,” which serves as the title track for her forthcoming album of the same name, set for May 8, 2026. The track emphasizes themes of personal boundaries and self-definition, produced in Los Angeles with a traditional honky-tonk sound. Ramey describes the project as a reflection of her journey toward autonomy.

India Ramey, an outlaw country musician from Nashville, launched her latest single “Welcome To My Villain Era” through Copoco and Blue Elan Records. The song features fiddle, twangy guitars, and a classic honky-tonk rhythm, focusing on asserting personal limits. As Ramey puts it, “If my boundaries offend you, I’ll happily play the villain in that story.”

This release previews her upcoming album Villain Era, entirely written by Ramey and recorded in Los Angeles under producer Eric Corne. Contributors include Eugene Edwards and Chris Masterson on guitar, and Eleanor Whitmore on fiddle. The album marks a departure from her 2024 effort Baptized By The Blaze, highlighting a newfound clarity and independence. “This album is the ‘healed’ me,” Ramey explains. “I spent years as a people pleaser, not knowing how to have boundaries. I lost sight of who I really was. These songs are about reclaiming that.”

The full track list for Villain Era includes: We Ride At Dawn, Welcome To My Villain Era, Scattered And Smothered, Six Feet Under, Cryin’ In My Lingerie, Nobody’s Coming, Dead To Me, Cult Money, Red Red Roses, and Ghost Town.

To support the release, Ramey has scheduled several performances. These begin with shows on February 27 and 28 in Queens and Kingston, New York, followed by dates in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 26, May 5, May 7, and September 1 at venues like The 5 Spot and Eastside Bowl. Additional stops include Austin and San Antonio in Texas on May 14 and 15, Fischer, Texas, on May 16, and another Nashville gig on December 8.
