His scores were 66-62-65-64. Detry, playing for 4Aces GC, shot a 67 to end at 20 under, while Thomas Pieters finished third at 19 under with a 66.
This marked Rahm's first worldwide victory since September 2024 in Chicago and his third LIV Golf individual title overall. "Very relieving," Rahm said. "I've been very ecstatic for wins in the past. This one just feels like a big weight off my shoulder."
The week began with challenges for some players, including Detry, who was stranded in the Middle East due to regional conflict. Rahm arranged a private jet to fly eight LIV players, including Detry, to Hong Kong. "The first few days were not really fun," Detry said, but he praised his recent form, noting top finishes in recent events.
In the team competition, 4Aces GC, featuring Johnson, Detry, Pieters, and Anthony Kim, posted a collective 16 under in the final round for a total of 58 under, winning by six strokes over Smash GC. It was their first team victory since 2023. Johnson led with a 65, followed by Kim and Pieters at 66, and Detry at 67. "To finally get a win after a few years without having one, very proud of the guys," Johnson said.
Rahm's win came after consecutive second-place finishes in the season's first two tournaments. He highlighted improved commitment to shots compared to his Adelaide performance. The event at Hong Kong Golf Club showcased strong fields, with only one player finishing over par, tying a LIV Golf record.
